The XAPHOON DE CATALUNYA is the noblest among the Xaphoons.
Made from the native wood of Northern Spain, the XAPHOON DE CATALUNYA is the newest version of the Xaphoon. Each of these Xaphoons is made in Catalonia by CESC SANS and his employees at the company SANS LUTHIER, a workshop specializing in the manufacture of traditional woodwind instruments.
The olive wood, especially, creates a wonderfully warm, full sound. The instruments are visually very attractive and often have an artistically curved wood grain.
Like the other Xaphoons, the instruments can be played over two octaves. The XAPHOON DE CATALUNYA is currently only available in the C version.
